MARCELLA E. BANNACH
STEVENS POINT, WISCONSIN Age 83 passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point, WI. She was born January 10, 1922 in Neenah, WI; daughter of Lyle Sr. and Leona (Skenadore) Aldrich. On January 22, 1938, Marcella married Charles E. Bannach in Stevens Point, WI. He preceded her in death this year on September 2, 2005. Marcella had her own business which she ran from her home doing interior decorating. She enjoyed cooking, was an avid gardener, and loved to travel with her husband in their motor home. She liked spending time outdoors fishing and deer hunting. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all the rest of her family. She will be greatly missed. Marcella’s grandson, Mark Bannach, discovered she was a decendant of Oneida Chief Shenandoah who fought on the side of the colonies against the British in the Revolutionary War. Chief Shenandoah saved George Washington’s troops from starvation. Marcella is survived by:

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles E. Bannach, son, Charles L. Bannach, great-granddaughter, Holly Bannach, brother, Lyle Andrich, Jr., and two sisters, Pat Raney and Inez Schmunck. A Funeral Service will be on Saturday, November 5, 2005 at 1:00 PM at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst. Reverend Ann Pearson Wahlers will officiate. A visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 11:00 – 1:00 PM at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home. Burial will be at Lower Amherst Cemetery in the Town of Amherst following the services.
