Margaret M. Haufe
Wild Rose, WI
age 74 – passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah, WI. She was born on October 17, 1937 in the Township of Deerfield, Waushara County, WI, the daughter of Edward and Leda (Kromrie) Sauer. She married Gleno Straw on June 4, 1955 in Wautoma, WI. On September 23, 1989 she married Glen (Red) Haufe in Wild Rose, WI. He preceded her in death on March 10, 1994.
Margaret is survived by her children: Steve (Jackie) Straw of Saxeville, Mike (Kathy) Straw of New London, Jeffrey Straw (Tori Bowen) of Wild Rose, and Collette (Robert) Ross of Saxeville, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister: Linda Sagmeister of Oshkosh, a sister-in-law: Marlene Sauer of Omro, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Glen (Red) Haufe, her parents, two sisters: Mabel and Liz, and a brother: Daniel.
Margaret grew up in Wautoma, but has been a Wild Rose resident since 1965. Many may remember her as a cashier for Benny’s Wild Rose Market for 17 years, or as a Ward Clerk at Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital for eight years. Margaret also spent a couple of years in the Copps Bakery in Wautoma. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wild Rose. Special interests of Margaret’s include flowers, and especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and family.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wild Rose, with Rev. Dale Bahls, officiating. Interment will be in the Wild Rose Union Cemetery near Wild Rose. A visitation will be held Friday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. The Holly Funeral Home of Wild Rose, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
