Margaret H. Johanknecht
Waupaca, WI age 91 - died on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Bethany Home in Waupaca, WI. She was born on September 11, 1918 in the Township of Lind, Waupaca County, WI, the daughter of Otto and Pauline (Kronke) Roggow. She married Glenn Johanknecht on June 5, 1940 in Weyauwega, WI. He preceded her in death on December 21, 1968. Margaret is survived by her son; Gary A. (Susan) Johanknecht of Beaver Dam, granddaughter; Cassie Daniels of Beaver Dam, sister-in-law; Pauline Roggow of Waupaca, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, her parents, a sister; Verna Roggow, and two brothers; Clarence and Arnold Roggow. Margaret had been a member of the Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Waupaca for many years and had been active with the Ladies Aide. She had been employed as a Laboratory Technician for the former Woody’s Cheese Company in Waupaca, retiring in 1983. Prior to working at Woody’s Cheese Co. she had done some waitressing at Simpson’s Restaurant in Waupaca. She and Glenn had enjoyed bowling and playing cards with their friends for many years. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI, with the Revs. Jeffrey Holtan and Aaron Winkelman, officiating. Interment will be in the Lind Center Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church on Monday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
