Margie A. Jorgensen's Obituary
Margie A. Jorgensen, age 82 passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2006, at Bethany Home in Waupaca. She was born September 3, 1923, in Elcho, Langlade Co., WI; daughter of Harry and Laura (Kreger) Telfer. Margie graduated from Elcho High School. On April 6, 1946, Margie married Ben Jorgensen at Farmington Lutheran Church in Sheridan. She was a Charter Member of Shepherd of the Lakes Church, where she was involved with the Altar Guild, AAL, and member of the Ruth Circle. She worked on the election board for over 30 years, volunteered for the Bloodmobile, and delivered Meals On Wheels for many years. She belonged to a Sheepshead Club and to the Simpson's Ladies Luncheon Club. She was also involved with the Republican Women Organization. Margie enjoyed reading, was involved in the P.T.A., and in the girl's and boy's scouting programs. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and especially loved sitting on her screened-in porch soaking up the warmth and beauty of her surroundings. Ten Grandchildren: Travis (Katie) Jorgensen, Rob May, James Girard, Christie Girard, Abby (Randy) Miller, Tony (fiancée, Heather and her son, Klayton) Peterson, Patrick Peterson, Paul Peterson, Nicholas Frisella, and Amanda Peterson
Three Great-Grandchildren: Lauren Jorgensen, Collin Jorgensen, and Alexander Hicks
Step-Grandchildren: Jeremy (Andrea) Hicks, Jamie Hicks, Sherise Swain and family, Alisa Laudacina and family, and Diana Frisella and family
Brother-in-law: Gordon Peterson of Waupaca, WI
Sister-in-law: Marge Telfer of Waupaca, WI
Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Jorgensen; a brother, Jerome Telfer; two sisters, Geraldine DeLoye and LaNah Peterson; and a step-grandson, Benny Frisella. A Funeral Service will be on Friday, August 18, 2006, at 11:00 AM at Shepherd of the Lakes Church of Waupaca. Reverends Dean Wheeler and David Martin, officiating. Lunch will be served after the funeral followed by burial at Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca. A visitation will be held on Friday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the services at the church. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks for the loving care given to Margie by the entire staff at Bethany Home.
