MARIA LANNYK
WAUPACA, WISCONSIN Age 86, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2009 at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton, WI, surrounded by her loving son. She was born March 12, 1923 in Radosczyce, Poland; daughter of Gregory and Tekla (Patrousz) Kucynda. In April 1946, Maria married Wasyl Lannyk in Muenster, Germany. Maria is survived by:
Husband: Wasyl Lannyk of Waupaca, WI
Son: William (Theresa) Lannyk of Waupaca, WI
Two Grandsons: William (Nicole) Lannyk of Weyauwega, WI
Nicholas Lannyk of Waupaca, WI
Two Great-Grandchildren: James and Malayna Lannyk of Weyauwega, WI
Brother: Stephen Kucynda of Chicago, IL
Sister: Nashta Rusiniak of Ukraine
She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gregory and Tekla Kucynda; two brothers, Peter and John Kucynda; a sister, Anna Kucynda; and her sister-in-law, Eva Kucynda. A Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church in Amherst, WI. Father Max Ssekiwala will preside. A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be at Sheridan Village Cemetery in Waupaca following the service on Tuesday.
