Marilyn E. Strebe's Obituary
Marilyn E. Strebe age 77, of Amherst passed away on Wednesday March 3, 2010, at the St. Michaels Hospital in Stevens Point. Marilyn was born on August 15, 1932 the daughter of George and Winnie (Aldridge) Penney. Marilyn is survived by two sons Mick (Karen) Wennesberg of Tell City, IN, and Mark Strebe of Amherst; four grandchildren Heather Wennesberg, Christopher Wennesberg, Shari Anderson, and Susan Fay; ten great grandchildren; two brothers Roger Penney, and Bobby (Sandy) Penney, and one sister-in-law Peggy Penney.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents George and Winnie Penney; her first husband Malcolm Wennesberg, and second husband Vilas “Pat” Strebe, and one brother Garth Penney.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday March 8, 2010 at 11 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Amherst, Reverend James Scott will officiate. A visitation will be held on Sunday March 7, 2010 at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst from 4 until 7 P.M. and again at the church on Monday from 10 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the spring at the Lower Amherst Cemetery.
