Marjorie J. Daggett's Obituary
Marjorie Jean Daggett, 93, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025 at Bethany Home in Waupaca. Marge was born on December 27, 1931 to Philip and Mabel Doolittle in Almond, Wisconsin. After graduating from Ripon High School in 1948, she went on to study at Oshkosh Teacher's College. After graduation, she started her teaching career at Hill School, a one-room country school for grades 1 through 8. She later returned to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and earned her Bachelor of Science in Education. She also studied at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. Her teaching career took her to Pickett, Berlin, Hortonville, Manawa, and to Christian schools in New London and Waupaca.
She married Daniel Daggett of Omro on June 14, 1958. They had two daughters, Debbie and Diane. They shared a love of teaching and enjoyed playing badminton and skeet shooting together. After retiring in 1992, Marge spent her time reading, traveling, making greeting cards, doing word puzzles, and occasionally substitute teaching.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Ralph Doolittle; her sisters, Audrey Hunter and Edith Doolittle; and her husband, Dan. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Alex) Rodriguez and Diane (Scott) Bickley; her brother, Robert (Ruth) Doolittle; and her five grandchildren, Alex, Danny, Elizabeth, Grant, and Samuel.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 5, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Waupaca. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service at the Church. Pastor Larry Gross will officiate. Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday at Rushford Cemetery in Omro, WI, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
