MARJORIE J. GOLDAPSKE
WILD ROSE, WISCONSIN
FORMERLY OF FOND DU LAC, WISCONSIN
Age 93, passed away with her family by her side on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital in Wild Rose, WI. She was born December 24, 1921 in Fond du Lac, WI; daughter of George and Elizabeth (Lictenberg) Scherck. On April 22, 1944, Marjorie married Leonard P. Goldapske in Fond du Lac and together they shared 69 years of marriage before his passing on February 1, 2014. Marjorie was a full time, stay at home mother after her children were born. She was active in the PTA, especially organizing the annual Halloween party for all of the children. Marjorie was also active in starting up the North Fond du Lac Girl’s Softball League, where she also did some coaching. She was involved with the Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts, too. She was a member of the N. Fond du Lac Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary. Marjorie enjoyed bowling and was active in the mixed bowling league and the women’s bowling league. She also enjoyed a good card game and loved to play cribbage. But most of all, Marjorie loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughters. She will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and many friends.

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Elizabeth Scherck; her husband, Leonard Goldapske; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, George (Helen), Karl (Harriet), Richard (Dorothy), Robert, and Harold; and two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mildred (Vick) Leib and Dorothy (Bud) Cole.
A Memorial Service will be on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI. Chaplain Wayne Schwanke will officiate. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home. Burial will be in the spring at the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
