Marjorie R. Leipzig's Obituary
Marjorie Leipzig, age 96, of Wild Rose, WI went to her Lord and Savior “Jesus Christ” on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at her home.
She was born on June 4, 1925 in Grand Forks, ND, daughter of Clarence and Ruth (Secord) Johnson.
On September 30, 1944, she married Francis J. Leipzig in Appleton, WI.
Marjorie was a secretary for Waushara Home Building Center. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, president of the Board of World Ministry Missions and their Homemakers Ladies Group. Marjorie was a member of American Legion Auxiliary of Poy Sippi and volunteer driver for Commission on Aging Waushara County. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, bird watching, hospitality, her church activities and spending time with family.
She survived by a son, Scott (Nancy) Leipzig of Oshkosh, WI; daughters, Pam Henshilwood of Pulaski, TN and Lori (Jay) Lauterbach of Wild Rose, WI; grandchildren, Michael J. Lauterbach, Bethany J. Lauterbach, Jonathan K. Lauterbach, Nathan J. Lauterbach, Troy Verburgt, William L. Henshilwood Jr. and Taylor Leipzig; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Maureen Arstill of Senora Beach, CA and a brother, Larry Johnson of Vancouver, WA.
Besides her parents and husband, Francis “Buzz”, she was preceded in death by a son, Troy Leipzig; a sister, Jeaneen Bell and brothers, Royal and Richard Johnson.
Funeral services will be on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 5:00 pm at First Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi, WI with Reverend Rebekah Tarras officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park in Appleton, WI.
Friends may call on Friday from 3:00 pm until the time of services at the church.
