Marjorie R. Goerman's Obituary
Marjorie Ruth Goerman age 65, of Waupaca, WI passed away after a brave brief battle with cancer, on Sunday January 31, 2010. She was born Marjorie Ruth Fuller on December 23, 1944 in Milwaukee, WI. She moved to Western Pennsylvania with her family in 1962. She graduated from Westminster College in 1967 and taught elementary school for two years. She married her husband, Bill Goerman, in 1968, moved to Wilmette, IL and had two daughters, Patti and Kathy. She and her husband owned and operated Allen's Stationers, a retail card, gift and office supply store, in Wilmette for 30 years. While living in Illinois, Marge was a Brownie and a Girl Scout troupe leader and she was also President of the Wilmette Chamber of Commerce. She retired in 1998 and moved to Waupaca, where she had vacationed for many years at the Chain O Lakes. She and her husband, Bill, have owned and operated the Triple Q Mini Storage for the last 15 years. While living in Waupaca, Marge was very active in the Waupaca Breakfast Rotary Club, where she was the Secretary for many years and then served as President. She also served on the Winchester Academy Board as Secretary. She was preceded in death by her father John W. Fuller and her infant brother Dougie. She is survived by her loving husband Bill, her daughter Kathy, and husband Brett and their daughters Alivia and Rayna of Madison, WI; her daughter Patti, and husband Martin and their son Mason of Washington D.C.. She is also survived by her mother Ruth Fuller of Glenview, IL who is 94 years old, her sisters Betty Fuller of Arlington Heights, IL and Barb Galarza of Wheeling, IL and brothers Frank (Karyn) Fuller of Hamilton, Ohio, Fred (Kitty) Fuller of Glenview, IL and Jim (Lyn) Fuller of Fairfield, CA and her many nieces and nephews. There will be a Memorial Celebration of Marjorie's Life on Saturday, February 13 at 4 PM at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. A Memorial Open House will be on Saturday from 1-4 pm at the funeral home.
