MARLENE PAYTON
WAUPACA, WISCONSIN Age 60 passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at her daughter’s home after a 2-year battle with cancer. She was born April 2, 1946 in Furth, Germany. In 1965, Marlene came to Wisconsin and has resided in the Waupaca area for most of her life. On May 12, 1987, Marlene married Jeffery Payton at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Marlene enjoyed spending time outdoors by the water and liked to go to casinos. She had a great sense of humor. But what she especially enjoyed was spending time with her grandchildren and family. Marlene will be sadly missed by all who love her. Marlene is survived by:

Daughters: Joan (Ken) Wisneski of Clintonville, WI
Shelly (Bradley) Kempf of Waupaca, WI
Granddaughters: Erin and Rachel Wisneski of Clintonville, WI
Grandsons: Jacob Miller, Joseph Koschak, and Noah Kempf of Waupaca, WI
Mother: Marie Epro of Germany
Sisters: Maria Arndt and Ann (Pepo) Toplitsch of Germany
Nephews: Berndt, Stephan, Manfred, and Armin of Germany
Also survived by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father. A Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Reverend Dr. Charles L. Tews will officiate. A visitation will be held on Monday evening, Nov. 6, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the name of Marlene Payton.
