Marvin "Jake" W. Jacobson's Obituary
Marvin (Jake)W. Jacobson born in Scandinavia WI March 24,1935 to Elmer and Belma Jacobson, rumbled his way to the “great frozen tundra in the sky “on July 8th, 2025.
Jake was an outdoorsman/sportsman. From teaching his sons the ethics and joys of hunting and fishing, to being an “active” spectator at sporting events; he embraced the excitement and energy. Through his love of baseball, he met his wife of 62 years Sally Elandt.
Jake served in the United States Marine Corp, was a Korean War Veteran, and a member of the local VFW/Cooties.
His work career took on many roles from truck driver to public service employee. In retirement, Jake enjoyed yardwork, traveling, spending time with his sons and grandchildren, and watching sports. Rarely, did a Brewer or Packer game go unwatched with his last pilgrimage to Lambeau Field at the age of 80.
Jake is survived by his son, William (Bill)Jacobson and granddaughters Amelia and Sophia Jacobson; son Bruce Jacobson with partner Ashley Sirois; granddaughter Abigail Jacobson and grandsons Otis and Murphy Jacobson
A Prayer/Funeral Service and Military Honors will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose on Saturday, August 2, at 1:00 PM. Friends may call from 12:30 until the time of service at 1:00.
In lieu of flowers or financial gifts, please donate to your local VFW.
