Marvin F. Klank
Waupaca, WI Age 90 - died Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Bethany Home in Waupaca, WI. He was born on August 21, 1918 in Chicago, IL, the son of Fred and Rose Marie (Dobrick) Klank. He married Edna M. Hansen on August 19, 1939 in Waupaca. She preceded him in death on June 28, 2003. Marvin had been employed as a flooring salesman with the former Montgomery Wards Department Stores, working there until his retirement. He had served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WW II. Prior to moving to Bethany Home Marvin was a resident of Park Vista in Waupaca. Marvin is survived by two sons; Thomas Klank of Houston, TX, and James Klank of Chicago, IL, two daughters; Diane Nielsen of Chicago, IL, and Susan (Edward) Kemp of Waupaca, WI, seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was loving “Papa” to Christie, Bill, and Matt Gonwa. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife; Edna, his parents, two sisters; Elvira Kelm and Lorraine Theel, a son-in-law; Ted Nielsen, and two daughters-in-law; Lynn Klank and Carol Klank. A private graveside service will be held at the Lakeside Memorial Park Cemetery in Waupaca. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI assisted the family with arrangements.
