Mary E. Cutchen's Obituary
Mary Emma Cutchen, age 86, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, Wisconsin.
Mary was born on January 7, 1939, in Elba, Alabama, to Jim and Gladys Martin. She was raised in a loving home and carried those values throughout her life, becoming a steady and caring presence to everyone who knew her.
Mary worked for many years at the Department of Motor Vehicles and also served families with compassion through her work at a local funeral home. She had a calm and nurturing spirit, and her dedication to helping others left a lasting impression on those around her.
Mary is survived by her loving daughter, Renee Wanty; her grandchildren, Mary (Adam) Anderson and Justin (Deidra) Wanty; and her cherished great-grandchildren: Jessica, Riley, Kaleb, Levi, Emily, Hudsyn, Gary, Liam, Zane, Ares, and Athena. She was deeply proud of her family and loved each of them dearly.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Zona Cutchen; her parents, Jim and Gladys Martin; her brother Billie Clyde Martin; her brother, Jimmie Martin; her son-in-law, Thomas Wanty; and many dear aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Mary will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her quiet strength, and her lifelong commitment to serving others with kindness and dignity.
