Mary Ellen McAllister's Obituary
Mary Ellen McAllister, age 90, of Waupaca, Wisconsin, passed away Friday, August 10th, 2007 at Crystal House. She was born in Platteville, Wisconsin on December 20, 1916, the daughter of Leslie and Bertha (Furnas) Dickson. Mary married Raymond McAllister on December 24, 1938 in Dubuque, Iowa. He preceded her in death on Jaunuary 3, 1989. She was an avid volunteer in the community for the Hospice Program, hospital gift shop, and the American Cancer Society. Mary was an active member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Mary will be greatly missed by all her knew her. She is survived by Daughters: Jane (Jan) Brehmer, Appleton; Sally (Searl) Pickett, Appleton. Grandchildren: Chris, Tim, Sara, Nicole, Jill, Amy, Mike, Mark, Kate, Megan, and Alex. Mary is further survived by Eight Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, Raymond; Daughter, Sue Seibert; Brother, Don and a Sister, Helen. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community in Waupaca, with Father Brian Belongia officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Waupaca. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of the service. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca assisted the family. The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of Crystal House for all their care and kindness.
