Mary Erdman's Obituary
Mary E. Erdman, age 65, of Saxeville, WI passed away peacefully at home with her family and close friends by her side on Wednesday, July 11th, 2007 after recently learning she had cancer. She was born in Waukesha, WI on August 4th, 1941, the daughter of Vernon and Nellie (Nutter) Jorgensen. At age 10 her family moved to Saxeville and she graduated from Wild Rose High School in 1959. A year later she completed Beauty School in Green Bay and returned home to marry Glen Erdman on May 6th, 1961. Mary followed Glen to the various bases he was assigned to during his years in the service and in 1962, their daughter Kelly was born. After returning to Saxeville, Glen and Mary built the home that they both shared for over 40 years of marriage before Glen passed away in October 2005. In 1966, their son Keil was born and in 1967 Mary opened Mimi's Beauty Salon in the basement of their home. She decided she didn't have enough to keep her busy and in 1984 opened The Pickle Station Gift Shop. In the late 80's, Mary decided to go back to school for Marketing and served on the board of directors for Fox Valley Technical College for a number of years. She enjoyed traveling, going to Florida frequently, Alaska and Jamaica. Mary is survived by her daughter Kelly O'Hanlon, Saxeville; son Keil (Arlene) Erdman, Oshkosh; Granddaughters Hannah, Emily & Madalyn Erdman, Oshkosh, her Mother Nellie Jorensen of Saxeville and brother Richard (Cathy) Jorgensen of WI Rapids. Mary is further survived by other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, husband and mother & father-in-law.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Saxeville, where she was a life long member, with Pastor Bob Hanson officiating. There will be a private family burial of the cremains at Hilltop Cemetery in Saxeville. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
