Age 91 - passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at her residence. She was born on August 21, 1922 in Marshfield, WI, the daughter of Anton and Amelia (Merkel) Aschenbrenner. She married Gerald A. Blomberg, Sr on June 19, 1947 in Madison, WI. He preceded her in death on March 2, 1997.
Mary is survived by her daughter: Lynnea (Robert) Ingle of Americus, GA, her sons: Gerald (Martha) Blomberg, Jr of Waupaca, and Allan (Sherry) Blomberg of Weyauwega, and a son-in-law: Marc Stoner of Modesto, CA. She is further survived by 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Gerald A. Blomberg, Sr, a daughter: Maureen Stoner, her parents, and a brother: William Aschenbrenner.
Mary Grace had been a Registered Nurse for 40 years in Madison, Kenosha, and Racine. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, enjoyed trips to casinos, and also enjoyed reading and crocheting.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca, WI, with Father Amalraj Roche, Celebrant, officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Auburndale, WI on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 10:00 AM. The Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
