Plover, WI (Formerly of Waukesha County, WI) age 86 – died on Monday, September 29, 2008 at Maple Ridge Care Center in Plover, WI. She was born on January 26, 1922 in the Township of Weirgor, Sawyer County, WI, the daughter of Albert L. and Eva (Hodgson) Greengo. She married Donald Jaecks on August 11, 1939 in Dubuque, Iowa. Mary is survived by three daughters; Lilace Jorgensen of Fayetteville, NC, Karen (Ron) Takacs of Almond, WI, and Cindy Liebl of Stevens Point, WI, 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her husband; Donald Jaecks, her parents, a sister, and two brothers. Mary had been a homemaker for much of her adult life. She had worked as a Lab Technician for General Casting Corp. in Waukesha for a few years. She and Donald had also owned a resort on Blueberry Lake in Hayward, WI for about ten years. Mary liked being outdoors, and enjoyed fishing, golfing, and bowling. She loved spending time with her family and friends and playing games. Mary was the great granddaughter of one of the oldest families in Waukesha County. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Almond United Methodist Church in Almond, WI, with the Reverend David Leistra, officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. The Hardell-Holly Funeral Home of Almond, WI is assisting the family with arrangements. Mary’s daughters would like to extend a special Thank You to the caregivers who helped with Mary’s care both at home and at Maple Ridge Care Center.
