Mary Puerzer's Obituary
I have never had a hard time putting words on paper. It was always so easy, until I had to put my mother's obituary on paper. There are no words that I can put on paper that would do justice for my mom.
On June 11, 2026, my mom passed at home like she always wanted. She spent her last few hours with her soulmate and best friend of 49 years, and her “little princess,” Amelia.
My brother and I had the love of an amazing mom. She told us she loved us almost daily. She taught us how to spread our wings and fly. I believe that my brother and I made her so proud. She was my best friend. She was my last conversation of the day on most nights, most of which are in texts I will never delete, but will be able to read one day and smile.
My mom and dad were soulmates, and a love like they shared is rare. Every day of their lives was spent together. Especially in recent years, being apart was never an option, and if you know my parents, you know this to be true. They had 49 amazing years and shared a love like no other.
My mom loved her family: me, Bill, Joe, and Jess. However, my mom's true pride and joy were always her grandbabies. Nicholas, Noah, Amelia, and Colton, plus her two bonus grandkids, Laci and Randall. She was so proud of them. She did everything for them. The grandkids always knew they were loved by the best grandma.
We are all going to miss her so much, and our hearts are so broken. But she taught us what it takes to be strong, and I know in time we will be okay; I will be okay.
I know she has so much love with her up above, but I especially know that Brianna and my uncle Bill are taking care of her, and in knowing that, it eases the pain a little more.
“I love you, Mom, so very much, and don’t worry, I am taking care of Dad, and I promise he will be okay.
