Mary Wilson's Obituary
MARY LOU WILSON Mary Lou Wilson (Martindale) (84) went to the Lord’s home of eternal life on Friday, June 15th, 2007. Mary was a blessed child born into the world on December 25th, 1922 to her parents Meda and Martin Martindale. Mary married the love of her life, Henry (Hank) Wilson on June 4th, 1939. They shared many happy years together farming early in their marriage prior to her being a great homemaker and mother to their growing family. This beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother was preceded in death by her parents ,1 brother (Lloyd) and 3 sisters (Eunice, Ardith and Irene). Mary is survived by her loving children Mike Wilson of Wild Rose, Brian (Carol) Wilson of Ripon, Darryl (Sharon) Wilson of Surprise, AZ, Brenda Arellano of Wild Rose and Cal (Phyllis) Wilson of Wild Rose. Mary will also be missed by those she has touched along her lifelong journey including her 18 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends and family. Mary was a devout Christian woman that always kept faith in her heart. She was involved in multiple church committees of the West Holden Church parish. She was also proud to share her knowledge and love of our Lord with children as a Sunday School teacher. Mary will always be remembered the best baker in the world! No matter how many times we all attempt her recipes…there was just always a little more “pinch” of this or that she added to make it her own. Mary enjoyed such pastimes of playing cards, attending church fellowship, spending special time with niece Rogene, quilting, puzzles and activities with her family. Those of you that have ever been beaten by Mary playing Yahtzee, you know she had special talent! Mary’s wit, smile and laughter will be remembered and cherished forever. Although today we are sad she has gone, we take comfort in knowing her beloved Hank was waiting to welcome her home. We take solace in knowing she is now living the words of the 23rd Psalm. The family would like to thank the Preston Place staff and the Ministry Hospice staff for their support, caring and compassion. Please join us in the celebration of Mary’s life on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the West Holden Lutheran Church in Wautoma, WI. Reverend Blaine MacNeil will officiate. A visitation will be held on Monday evening, June 18, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at the West Holden Lutheran Cemetery on Tuesday following the services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the name of Mary L. Wilson.
