Maurice M. Stewart Jr.'s Obituary
Maurice M. Stewart Jr. age 83, of Madison passed away on December 28, 2009 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home Olson Hall in King. Maurice was born on July 8, 1926 the son of Maurice and Adeline (Lang) Stewart. He graduated Madison East High School in 1944, and then enlisted in the Army Air Corp. that same year. He was stationed on Sai Pan Island and served as a Radio Operator with the 20th Air Force in WWII. He then attended school at the U.W. River Falls Teacher College. He married the late Prudence Piccinino on May 28, 1949.
He is survived by one son Mark (Lori) Stewart of West Bend, two daughters Dianne (Craig) Laabs of Richfield, and Debra Stewart of Sussex. Seven grandchildren Chad, Heather, Ryan, Nicole, Michelle, Katie, and Jessica, four great grandchildren Noah, Sophia, Elliot, and Oliver, one brother Donald (Elaine) Stewart.
He was preceded in death by his parents Maurice and Adeline Stewart, and his wife Prudence Stewart.
A funeral service will held on Monday January 4, 2010 at 1 P.M. at the Wisconsin Veterans Home’s Main Chapel. Chaplain Wayne Schwanke will officiate. A visitation will be held on Monday from 12 noon until time of the service. Burial will be held at a later date.
