May F. Shabino
November 1, 1919 - March 4, 2009 May F. Shabino, (Farmer), of Waupaca, WI and formerly of West Bend, WI passed away March 4, 2009 joining her husband Harry in eternal life together. May was born in Wilmette, IL to the late Fred and Margaret (Weyker) Farmer. As a child she lived in Wilmette, IL graduating from Stoph School and New Trier High School in Winnetka, IL. May was a graduate of Mundelein College in Chicago, IL. On July 18, 1942 May Farmer married Harry Lynn Shabino also of Wilmette, IL. May and Harry lived in West Bend, WI for 50 years and had a summer cottage on Columbia Lake in Waupaca, WI before permanently moving to Round Lake on the Chain O' Lakes in 1992. She was an active member of the West Bend 5th Avenue United Methodist Church, West Bend Women's Club, St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary, Meals on Wheels, Boys Scouts, Girl Scouts, Garden Club and various bridge clubs. In Waupaca, May was a member of the Parfreyville United Methodist Church, assisted at the Waupaca Food Bank and the Garden Club. She also enjoyed playing golf at the West Bend Country Club and Royal Oaks Golf Course in Waupaca. May is the loving mother of Dr. Charles L. (Diane) Shabino of Wausau; J. Gary (Judy) Shabino of Barrington, IL; John Skee (Elizabeth) Shabino of Bloomfield Hills, MI; and Elizabeth (Brian) Verhagen of Waupaca. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, Peter, Patrick, Carrie (Jonathan), Kristy (Ben), Jeff (Katherine), John, Nick, Max and Samantha and 3 great grandchildren, Brittany Anne, Erin Margaret and Mollie May Shabino. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 7th, 11:00am until the time of service at noon at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. Rev. Elaine Weidemann is officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials in May's name can be made out to Parfreyville United Methodist Church.
