Michael R. Platz's Obituary
Michael Ryan Platz, 50 of Green Bay passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 16th, 2025.
He was born June 25th, 1974, in Sheboygan, son of Kenneth and Susan (Schetter) Platz. He graduated from Howards Grove High School in 1992 and the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in 1998 with a degree in Geography.
Michael was currently employed as a Chemist II at Nature’s Way in Green Bay. Mike’s career took him to Colorado, Utah and Hawaii as a real estate appraiser. Then into business consulting and finally to Nature’s Way. Mike loved the outdoors, especially traveling to many destinations including Lake Tahoe and most recently Yellowstone in the summer of 2024. He was also proud of being called “Uncle Mike” at many family gatherings and events.
Michael is survived by his mother, brother Chris (Christy) Platz of Fort Collins, CO, sisters Sarah Sischo of Kohler, WI and Jennifer (Shawn) Engel of Kohler, WI. Nieces and Nephew Ashley and Anderson Platz, Ava Sischo, Amber and Allison Engel. Mike is further survived by many loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends, especially his Nature’s Way co-workers.
Michael is preceded in death by his father Kenneth, Maternal Grandparents Raymond and Matilda Schetter, Paternal Grandparents Lester and Lorraine Platz.
A private burial will happen at a later date. Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
