Michael E. Starrine's Obituary
Michael “Mike” Starrine, age 76, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, March 4th 2022, at Wisconsin Veteran’s Home in King, WI. Mike served in the U.S. Navy, including many years of duty during the Vietnam War, and was a proud veteran and vocal advocate for our military service men and women. Following his service Mike worked as Director of Operations in the steel industry in Los Angeles, CA before retiring and moving back to Wisconsin to be near family and friends.
Mike brought passion and persistence to everything he did in life and was cherished by those who knew him. He will be remembered for his passion for fishing and the outdoors, his generous and charitable nature and the strength and wisdom that he displayed throughout his life.
Mike is survived by his sister Priscilla of Montello, his daughter Tyler and son Daniel, as well as his four grand-children: Brooke, Bailey, Jude and Jones. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Al and Marjorie.
Per his wishes, Mike will be cremated and laid to rest in Wisconsin. Graveside service with military honors will be held in early summer to celebrate his life and service. Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
