Mike Anderson's Obituary
Myron "Mike" T. Anderson age 65 of Wild Rose, WI passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 25, 2015 at Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital in Wild Rose.
Mike was born on March 26, 1949 to Theodore C. and Mildred J. (Thompson) Anderson in Wild Rose. Mike was raised on the family farm outside of Wild Rose. Mike attended and graduated from Wild Rose High School in 1968 and then was employed by the Walker Lumber Company until drafted into the U.S. Army to serve in Vietnam. He proudly served his country until his discharge in November of 1970. He made it home in time for the deer hunting season, which he thought was one of the coldest ones he had ever hunted in.
Mike married his high school sweetheart, Heather Stewart on December 19, 1970 at Mt. Morris Holden Lutheran Church where he was a lifelong member. Mike and Heather went on to raise four children - Ted, Jason, Lars and Tara. He was employed by the Walker Lumber Company, drove concrete truck for 4X and later worked for WHBC and JMC Building Center until his retirement. He then spent his time being Papa to his grandchildren and working on his ever growing "honey do" list.
Mike served on the church council at Mt. Morris Holden where he was council president for a number of years. He also served on the Wild Rose Fire Department, where he was Engineer for several years and until recently enjoyed making toys for the Community Christmas Project with the Happy Joe's Woodworking Group.
