Mildred Anderson's Obituary
Mildred P. Anderson
Mickey
God blessed us with Mickey on March 9, 1909, and took her back just shy of a century later, on March 15, 2007. She was born in the Township of Lind, Waupaca County, WI to Albert and Winnifred (Ritz) Pope. Her family surrounded Mickey when she passed from this life to be with Jesus. She lived each of her ninety-eight years to its' fullest. To know Mickey was to know love. Her patient, kind, forgiving, and selfless soul was truly admirable. She was wise, humble, and full of integrity. Her family was her reason for living. Mickey was Valedictorian of Waupaca High in 1926. Her first job was selling tickets for a nickel at the Rosa Theater. Mickey was the Register in Probate for Waupaca County. She married John Kyle Anderson on June 17, 1931. They resided in Waupaca in a little, brick house on Harrison Street, where she lived, happily until 2003.
Mildred is survived by a son: Tom (Sandra) Anderson of Appleton, WI, a daughter-in-law: Marlene (Bernie) Christianson of Squim, WA, five granddaughters: Marne (Tom) Dudley, Michelle (Kirk) Olson, Sarah Anderson, Carey (Eric) Sorenson, and Mary (Donald) Ringelstetter, and eight great grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: J. Kyle Anderson, her son: Mark Anderson, her parents, two sisters: Ethel Myrick and Velora Kurkowski, four brothers: Russell Pope, Kenneth Pope, Lynn Pope, and Edwin Pope, and a very dear friend: Ardis Hewitt.
