Mildred Nickel's Obituary
Mildred A. Nickel, age 92, of Weyauwega, formerly of Waupaca, passed away on Tuesday, August 29th, 2006 at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega. She was born in the Town of Sherman, Clark Co., WI., on January 2, 1914, a daughter of the late Herman and Bertha (Naatz) Bruss. Mildred married Allen W. Nickel on April 27, 1939 in Spencer, WI. He preceded her in death on April 9, 1990. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Mildred enjoyed doing crafts, gardening and flowers. Survivors include: 4 Children: DuWayne (Susan) Nickel, Waupaca, WI; Priscilla (Larry) Will, Fremont, WI; Ellwyn (Special Friend - Traci Johnson) Nickel, Waupaca, WI; Vincent (Kathy) Nickel, Waupaca, WI; 12 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband,- Allen, a daughter - Doreen Mayer, 2 sisters - Wilma Neuman and Lenora Oestriech. Funeral Services will be held at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Waupaca at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 1st, 2006 with Rev. Aaron Winkelman, officiating. Interment will be in the Lind Center Cemetery, Town Lind, Waupaca Co., WI. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11 AM until the time of the service at the church.
