Miles W. Fredrickson's Obituary
Mr. Miles Walter Fredrickson, age 71, of Waupaca, Wisconsin, formerly of Oshkosh, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 13th, 2008. Mr. Fredrickson was born in Town Farmington, Wisconsin on January 22, 1937, he was the son of the late Walter and Florence (Windey) Fredrickson. Miles was a graduate of Waupaca High School. He served in the United States Navy for four years. He worked as a Police Officer in Oshkosh and retired from Rockwell International in 1994. Miles was proud to be a veteran and truly loved his country. He was a loving dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and a great friend to many. Known to never be late, (and probably never say no to a casino run! ) He didn't have much to give, but would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Our hearts are broken because we will miss him so much, but know that we will meet again someday. He is survived by Son: Mark (Sonya) Fredrickson, Hilbert; Miles R. (Denise) Fredrickson , St. Francis, WI; Daughter: Peggy (Kurt) Johnson, Oshkosh; Sister: Joan (Jim) Otterlee, Waupaca; Brother: Gene Fredrickson, Winneconne. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at Holly Funeral Home, Waupaca, Wisconsin. at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 19th, 2008. Interment of cremains will be Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery Town of Farmington, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held Friday 11-1 P.M. at Holly Funeral Home. A special thanks to the paramedics at the Oshkosh Fire Department for all their hard work and efforts and the Oshkosh Police Department and Winnebago Coroner for showing deep compassion while doing their jobs under such difficult circumstances.
