Myrtle M. Bowman's Obituary
Myrtle M. Bowman, age 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at ThedaCare Medical Center in Waupaca, WI. She was born May 7, 1923 in Ledgewood, ND; daughter of Charles and Bertha (Bowser) Baumann. On August 15, 1964, Myrtle married the Rev. Charles E. Bowman in St. Paul, MN and together they shared 47 years of marriage before his passing on December 14, 2011. She will be dearly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
Myrtle is survived by her son-in-law, Arden Apitz of Rosemount, MN; a grandson, Michael (Wendy) Apitz of Northfield, MN; three step-sons, Gerald (Patricia) Bowman of Stevens Point, WI, Lawrence (Mira) Bowman of Willows, CA, and Terrance Bowman of Shevlin, MN. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bertha Baumann; her husband, Rev. Charles Bowman; a daughter, Sharon Apitz; and a step-daughter, Janet Bowman-Jansen.
A Funeral Service will be on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Olson Hall Chapel at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. Chaplain Rich Engle will officiate. A visitation will be held on Thursday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Olson Hall Chapel. Burial will be at the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King following the service on Thursday. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
