Nalonnie A. Von Gunten's Obituary
Nalonnie A. Von Gunten, age 65, of Waupaca, WI, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton, WI. She was born January 29, 1956 in Keshena, WI; daughter of Andrew Jr. and Ida (Shawanomitta) Boyles. Out of all things in life Nalonnie loved being a mother the most. Her love for her children and grandchildren was infinite. Every child that walked through her door she made sure felt loved and her favorite way to show it was by providing home cooked meals big enough to feed an army. Her Sundays were always spent at church with her beloved boyfriend, Roger. She treasured her time in the outdoors and with all animals, especially her own. Nalonnie will be dearly missed by all of her loving family and many friends.
Nalonnie is survived by her seven children Adam Kenowski of Bend OR, Joseph (Ashleigh) Von Gunten of Fond du Lac WI, Rayleen Von Gunten of Waupaca WI, Andre Von Gunten of Rib Lake WI, Joshua (Patience Turner) Von Gunten of Stevens Point WI, Scott Von Gunten of Iola WI, and Ryasa “Rainy” Von Gunten of Milwaukee WI; former husbands John Kenowski of Waupaca WI and Jeff Von Gunten of Waupaca WI; eleven grandchildren Sophea, Chole, Brogen, Paitynn, Elden, Claire, Haddie, Emma, Reuben, Quinn, and Nora; dear friend Roger Ventrice of Montello WI; three brothers George (Lucila) Boyles of Temecula CA, Pete Shawanomitta of Shawano WI, and Francis Shawanomitta, Jr. of Green Bay WI; three sisters Marilyn Wilson, Liz (Byron) Shawanomitta of Baraboo WI, and Catherine Shawanomitta of Green Bay WI; and also by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew Jr. and Ida Boyles; three brothers Lee Boyles, Andrew Boyles, and Stewart Boyles; and a sister Marilyn Shawanomitta.
A Celebration of Nalonnie’s Life will be on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at the First Baptist Church in Waupaca, WI. Pastor Larry Gross will officiate. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the church. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
