Nancy Degler's Obituary
Nancy L. Degler, age 62, of Bancroft, WI, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2006 at her residence. Nancy was born in Portage Co, WI on February 21, 1943, the daughter of the late Floyd and Nellie (Low) Buckholt. She lived in Almond most of her life until last spring when she moved to Bancroft. Nancy was a custodian at Almond-Bancroft Schools for over 20 years. She enjoyed going to casino's, playing cards, watching movies, and loved playing games with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Duane (Adelita Ramon) Degler, Stevens Point, WI; Barry (Jean) Degler, Amherst, WI; Doug (Jill) Degler, Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Lynn (David) Baird, Bancroft, WI; Sandy (Gary) Barden, Almond, WI; eleven grandchildren: Jacob, Judidiah, Samuel, & Graham Barden; Corrina and Brittany Degler; Erika, Luke, Kyla Degler; Cody Degler and Hannah Baird; her brothers and sisters: Gerald Buckholt, Weyauwega, WI; Mary Adams, Oconomowoc, WI; Sherry Hunkins, Almond, WI; Brenda Batton, Waupaca, WI; Taffy Morgan, Amherst, WI; and Jay Buckholt, Stevens Point, WI. She is further survived by many nephews and nieces. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son - Darrell, three sisters - Debbie, Elaine, and Audrey and two brothers - David and Bruce. The Memorial Service will be at Hardell-Holly Funeral Home, Almond, WI at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 10, with Chaplain Joanne Chase officiating. Memorial Visitation will be Monday evening from 5 - 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
