Nancy L. Plamann's Obituary
Nancy L. Plamann age 71 of Amherst Jct. died Thursday, July 5, 2012 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services at home after a courageous 5 year battle with cancer and the side effects of radiation therapy. Nancy was born on November 9, 1940, in West Allis, WI, the daughter of the late John T. and Evelyn Wardijan. On July 20, 1963, she married Kay W. Plamann in Appleton. Nancy worked for S.S. Kresge in Milwaukee where she met her future husband. After their wedding, Nancy devoted her life to her family as a wonderful wife and loving mother, being a homemaker for the next 49 years. She loved spending time with her brother at the family cottage in Wild Rose at Hills Lake, and visiting her sister in West Allis. She will always be remembered for her love of animals, going to rummage sales, collecting dolls, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren as much as possible. She will always be remembered as someone who put the needs of others before her own, even when she became ill. She will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her husband Kay Plamann, Amherst Junction, her daughter Melody (Randy) Brandt, Wausau, her sons Kurt (Teresa) Plamann, Waupaca, and Scott (Libertad) Plamann, Kronenwetter. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua and Sarah (fiance'-Zack Kempf) Brandt, Wausau, Patrick, Jake, and Kourtney Plamann, Waupaca, and Andrew, Zachary, and Karlos Plamann, Kronenwetter, and great-grandson Mason Kempf, Wausau. She is also survived by her brother John T. Wardijan, Jr., Wild Rose, and her sister Donna Fay Szafir, West Allis, and many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 9, 2012, at 12 Noon at the Holly Funeral Home, Waupaca with Reverend Gretchen Anderson, officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Saxeville Union Cemetery, Saxeville, WI
