Naomi Bast's Obituary
Naomi J.Bast, age 89, of Iola, WI. formally of West Allis, passed away Monday, June 20, 2005 while in the company of family members at her residence. Naomi was born in Devils Lake, North Dakota on July 17, 1915, the daughter of the late Samuel and Inga (Nelson) Overmoe. On Feb. 25, 1949 Naomi married Paul J. Bast at the First Baptist Church in West Allis. Naomi recieced her Masters Degree in music from the Music Conservatory in Milwaukee. She was the organist for many years at the First Baptist Church in West Allis. She moved to the Iola area in 2001 to be close to her daughter. She is a member of First Baptist Church Waupaca, Wisconsin.
Naomi is survived by her children: Richard (Judy) Ohl, Wind Lake, WI.; Ronald Ohl, Yuma, AZ.; Kermit (Janet) Bast, Wind Lake, WI.; Patricia (John) McCarville, Iola, WI.; Paul (Diane) Bast, New Berlin, WI.; her 5 Grandchildren: Mathew (Lynn) Ohl; David Ohl; Kermit Templer; Nathan Templer; Andrea Templer and her 4 Great Grandchildren. Also surving are her sister: Lillian (Frank) Sander, Madison, WI.and her brother: Ralph (Mary) Overmoe, Shalimar, FL.. Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul and a sister, Eva Ohl.
Funeral Service will be at First Baptist Church in Waupaca at 11 AM on Thursday, June 23, with Reverend Larry G. Gross officiating. Interment will be in the Highland Memorial Park, Milwaukee, WI. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10 to 11 AM at the church. Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
