Nelda L. Greaser's Obituary
Nelda Gauerke Greaser, age 99 formerly of Amherst, WI, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Wausau, WI.
She was born on December 17, 1922 in Athens, WI, daughter of Ben and Lydia (Wilke) Gauerke.
Nelda graduated from Athens High School in May, 1940 and attended nursing school in Milwaukee.
On July 3, 1950, she was united in marriage to Ross Greaser in Athens, WI. They owned and operated the Ross Service and Marine for 33 years in Amherst, WI.
Nelda was a member of The Abbotsford Electa chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, joining in 1952.
Nelda is survived by one sister-in-law, Elaine Greaser, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Ross of almost 61 years, her parents, 3 sisters, Laura Strombeck, Erna Schroeder, Phyllis Wenzel, and 3 brothers, Lester, Oscar, and Willard Gauerke.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 11:00 am at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, WI, with Reverend Brian Iverson officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst, WI.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of services at the funeral home.
