Nona Getzloff's Obituary
NONA I. GETZLOFF
BANCROFT, WISCONSIN Age 96, was called home on Friday, October 1, 2010 under hospice care at Stevens Point Care Center in Stevens Point, WI. She was born March 5, 1914 in Coddington, WI; daughter and one of 13 children of J. Leslie and Ethel (Hill) Kramer. On April 13, 1932, Nona married George C. Getzloff at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kellner, WI. He preceded her in death on February 10, 1990. Nona enjoyed gardening and her flowers were her pride and joy along with decorating for the holidays. She also enjoyed going out to lunch, crafts, playing bingo, baking cookies, shopping trips, participating in activities at the care center, seeing visitors and spending time with family. Nona was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Almond, WI. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. Nona is survived by:

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, J. Leslie and Ethel Kramer; her husband, George Getzloff; one son and daughter-in-law, Jack (Carol) Getzloff; 3 grandsons; 1 great-granddaughter; 2 great-great granddaughters; a son-in-law, Ben Sawyer; 2 brothers; and 4 sisters. A Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Almond, WI. Vicar Brian Roehrborn will officiate. A visitation will be held on Monday evening, Oct. 4, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Almond and also from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Almond following the service on Tuesday. The Hardell-Holly Funeral Home of Almond is assisting the family with arrangements.
