Norbert (Red) Fillinger's Obituary
Norbert E. (Red) Fillinger, age 81, of King, WI., passed away on Monday, January 25th, 2010 at Wisconsin Veterans Home-Ainsworth Hall, King, WI. He was born in Lake Linden, MI., on March 30, 1928, a son of the late Adolf and Genevieve (Fretter) Fillinger. Norbert retired from Briggs and Stratton in 1985 after having worked there for 30 years. He loved fishing, boating, camping and bowling. Norbert served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. Survivors include his Children: Michael Fillinger, Lannon, WI; Debra (Brian) Campbell, Waukesha, WI; David Fillinger, Poynette, WI; Alan (Marisa) Fillinger; Grandchildren: Roger Fillinger, Waukesha, WI; Alison Campbell, Waukesha, WI; Sister: Louise (John) Dawson, Murray, UT. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Eldred. Memorial Services will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI., at 1 PM on Friday, February 5th, 2010, with Father Paul Vanden Hogen, officiating. Interment will be held at Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King, WI., at a later date. Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday from 11 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the name of Norbert E. Fillinger.
