I was sad to find this out. I am the oldest daughter to Alan Gates, Norma’s first cousin. I remember her and Marv visiting when I was little. I loved her smile and her kindness. She passed weeks after my dad. I wish I would have known. I am so sorry for your loss.
I will always remember the times when our families would get together for special occasions, Norma was always so upbeat with her infectious smile and unique laugh. She a very kind and caring person and did a great job raising three fantastic sons.
Aunt Norma..... What a Special Lady. We went to the casino 3 years ago. She was on the penny machine; I was on the dollar machine and I won 300.00. She was so excited and happy. I didn't want to tell her I spent more than I won. Ha Ha. Anytime time you would see her, at the Piggly Wiggly or in Wildrose. She always had a big hug for you. SUPER LADY, she was so proud of her kids, grand kids, great grandkids. On the last Christmas video, you could see the love and joy she had for her family.

At Dorothy's memorial service back in 1990? I think everybody was there. Norma speaking "went from all of inside, to all the kids outside flying kites by lake Michigan and connecting that memory that we all heard and shared, comparing it to the spirit of Dorothy, as she was a human spirit that zoared and saw all the world below. That and Barb and Nadine having a laughing fit whether is was "Aunt or Ant".
