Pamela Wampole's Obituary
Pamela Wampole, 60, of Amherst, passed away on November 2, 2016, at ThedaCare Medical Center - Waupaca. Pam was born in Racine, WI, on July 16, 1956, daughter of the late Kenneth and Shirley (Clausen) Letsch. On July 29, 1978, Pam was united in marriage to the love of her life, David Wampole, in Racine, WI.
Pamela graduated with a BSN degree in nursing from Loyola University in Chicago, in 1978. She was a nurse for 38 years. The last 16 years of her career, Pam was employed by the City of Appleton Health Department and the Appleton Housing Authority. She loved all of her patients and loved helping people. She retired in February of 2016. Pam loved spending time with her husband, children, and grandsons, as well as many relatives and friends at their Crescent Lake cabin in Rhinelander. She will always be remembered for her generosity, kindness, and compassion.
Pamela is survived by: her husband of 38 years, David; daughter Katie Stobbe; sons Adam (Tala) Wampole and Mark Wampole; grandsons Coy, Cade, and Ty Stobbe; parents-in-law La Nay (Irene) Wampole; brother Bruce (Aimee) Letsch; sister-in-law Lisa Letsch; brother-and-sister-in-law Duane (Judy) Wampole; and sister-and-brother-in-law Cindy (Tim) Zarzecki. Pam is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by: her parents; and brother Craig Letsch.
In keeping with Pamela's wishes, a private family gathering was held at the family cabin in Rhinelander.
In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund is being established in Pamela's name.
