Patricia "Patti" Petersen's Obituary
Patricia (Patti) Ann Petersen, age 79 of Waupaca, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2023, with her family by her side.
Patti was born to George and Dona (Kleist) Vetter in Weyauwega, Wisconsin on August 30, 1943. She graduated from Weyauwega High School in 1961and shortly after met the love of her life, David (Pete) Petersen, at Rhythm Roller Skating rink in Waupaca. They were married on March 20, 1964, and had two children and four granddaughters.
She was co-owner of Dave’s Electronic Repair, Inc. with her husband Dave. Patti loved to dance and was an avid square and round dancer along with being an enthusiastic clogger. She enjoyed travelling, playing cards, and decorating her house and yard. Patti adored her granddaughters and especially loved spending time with them. She was a devout Christian and was always ready to help friends and neighbors. Patti left behind a lifetime of love and laughter for those blessed to know her.
Patti is survived by her husband of 59 years, David Petersen. Her son, Kevin (Michelle) Petersen (Waupaca) and her daughter Terri Petersen Haines (Kansas City, Missouri). Four granddaughters, Nicole Petersen and Kaylee Petersen (Waupaca), Holly Haines and Hannah (Chris) Findley (Kansas City, Missouri). She was preceded in death by her parents George and Dona Vetter and her brother Harland Vetter.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 11 A.M. at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday June 17, 2023 from 10 A.M. until the time of the service at 11 A.M. at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. Burial of cremains will be held after the service at Lakeside Memorial Park.
The family wants to thank the staff at ThedaCare Waupaca and ThedaCare Hospice team for providing compassionate care in her final days.
