PATSY A. OLSON
WAUPACA, WISCONSIN
FORMERLY OF OGDENSBURG, WISCONSIN Age 80, passed away on her 62nd wedding anniversary, Saturday, November 19, 2011, at Appleton Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 6, 1931 in Waupaca, WI; daughter of George and Ella (Paulson) Cartwright. On November 19, 1949, Patsy married Allen J. Olson in Waupaca, WI. Allie always said he “got his doe” when he married Patsy, and now, on opening day of deer hunting, he received her once again with open arms in Heaven. He preceded her in death on August 11, 2008. Patsy was a nurse’s aid for eight years at Manawa Nursing Home in Manawa, WI. She volunteered her time to help with the elderly at Crystal River Nursing Home and with the veterans and their spouses at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. Patsy was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need. She will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and many friends. Patsy is survived by:

Best Friend for 76 years: Lucy Miller of Waupaca, WI
Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ella Cartwright; her husband, Allen Olson; her daughter, Lynn Behm; five sisters; and four brothers. A Funeral Service will be on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Waupaca, WI. Pastor Rick Anderson will officiate. A visitation will be on Friday evening, Nov. 25, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI. Burial will be at Park Cemetery in the Town of St. Lawrence following the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the name of Patsy Olson.
