Paul E. Campbell's Obituary
Paul Eugene Campbell, a resident of Summit Lake/Crandon since 1926, died at the King Veterans Home on January 10th, 2023, at the age of 96.
The son of Greenberry and Maude Campbell was born in Nashville, Wisconsin on April 13, 1926. Paul enlisted in the Navy in 1940 and was a communication specialist aboard the USS Thornhill. Paul loved fishing, snowmobiling and county western dance. He moved to Arkansas and then to New Mexico for a short time in his life. He loved listening to classic country music, watching football and horse racing. Paul was a generous, selfless person and loved by everyone who ever met him. His wit and humor were enjoyed by all.
Paul was an active member in the American Legion.
Survivors include a daughter Julie (Andrew) Enerson, son Steve Campbell, 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
