Paul Picchiottino's Obituary
Paul J. Picchiottino, age 86, of Almond, WI, passed away Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006 unexpectedly at his residence. Florence E. Picchiottino, age 89, of Almond, WI, passed away Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006 at Wild Rose Memorial Hospital. Paul was born in Chicago, IL on August 30, 1920, the son of the late Joseph F. and Rosa (Lutz) Picchiottino. Florence was born in Fond du lac, WI on Sept. 16, 1917, the daughter of the late George and Bertha (Pfeifer) Vetter. Florence and Paul were married on Feb. 1, 1947 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in the Town of Forest, Fond du lac Co., WI. Florence loved her vegetable & flower gardens, sewing and crocheting and especially keeping in touch with her family and friends. Paul loved hobby farming, auto mechanics, hunting, fishing, and woodworking. Paul was a veteran of WW II and both were members of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Florence and Paul are survived by their sons, Vernice Picchiottino of Almond, WI and Maurice (Debra) Picchiottino of Ripon, WI and 3 Grandchildren: Tiffany, Tyler & Todd Picchiottino. Paul is also survived by his brothers: Wilfred (Elsbeth) Picchiottino of Milwaukee, WI; Allen Picchiottino of Lake Mills, WI; David (Myrna) Picchiottino of Neenah, WI; his sisters: Rosemary (Allen) Werk of Bangor, MI; Goldie Picchiottino of Grand Junction, MI and Gloria Picchiottino of Grand Junction, MI. Florence was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Edmund and Friedhold Vetter and a sister, Amanda Schmidt. A Christian Funeral Service will be on Monday, Nov. 13 at 11:00 AM at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waupaca with Reverends Jeffery Holtan & Aaron Winkelman, officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Cemetery, Town of Forest, Fond du lac Co., WI. Visitation will be on Monday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church. Memorials appreciated to the Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Fond du lac. The Hardell-Holly Funeral Home in Almond is assisting the family with arrangements.
