I have very fond and happy memories of Pauline. We had a Bridge group that met on Wednesday at Waupaca Woods Restaurant. We would sit at the same table way in back, order lunch., clear and clean our table, and play bridge until 4:00p.m. We changed partners every 6 games. And yes we had money stakes! We each put in $.50.. What a fun time we all had for that prize....win or lose !!! Of course we had lots of conversation, exchange of ideas, sharing of recipes, food from our gardens, and books we had read..
Pauline was an excellent bridge player ! Often times she would look at the score, and jump her partner to a slam bid...and make the contract.. She had no fear....just that fun twinkle in her smile. We had to bring our bridge games to a halt because of the pandemic, but if and when we play again, I know Pauline will be with us, looking down,and.smiling. She was a dear friend and great lady. I miss her.
