Pauline C. Miller's Obituary
Pauline C. Miller, age 81 of Amherst Jct., WI passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Marshfield Medical Center in Weston, WI. Pauline was surrounded by loved ones, as she was led to the loving arms of Jesus. Pauline was born in Chicago, IL; daughter of the late Henry and Loretta (Kuffel) Ratkowski. On May 16, 1964, Pauline married Richard Miller in Chicago, IL. In 1976 Pauline and Richard moved their family to Wisconsin.
Pauline’s primary focus was fulfilling her dream of having a large family, which she accomplished without fail. After losing both parents by the age of 9 as an only child, she was raised by Uncle Flo and Aunt Harriet. The love Pauline experienced at an early age fueled her dream of having a large family, who would always support and care for each other. Pauline and her family paid this love forward, caring for Uncle Flo and Aunt Harriet in their later years.
In addition to raising her loving family, Pauline was employed by Sentry Insurance, Skyward, and Noel Group. She was an active Tomorrow River Lioness member for many years, as well as a member of the St Mary of Mount Carmel Rosary Society.
Pauline was an avid reader, who loved sharing her readings with all the “littles” she was blessed to have in her life. This love for reading made her a master of Scrabble, and Words With Friends (she was blackbelt expertise). She was an incredible cook, sharing her delicious meals with family, friends, or anyone who happened to stop by the farm for a visit. Her motto was “There is always room for one more.” Pauline gifted many of her crocheted items to family and friends over the years. She had an enormous love for animals, especially dogs, which she passed along to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Pauline is survived by her children, Mary Beth (Mark) Repinski of Amherst; Bob (Maureen) Miller of Stevens Point; Amy (Alan) Thoe of Murfreesboro, TN; Rich Miller of Wisconsin Rapids; Maggie (Donnie) Trzebiatowski of Amherst and Adrianne (Craig) Bongard of Amherst Jct.; 17 grandchildren, Matthew Repinski, Maureen (Chris) Domask, Joe Miller, Marcus (McKenna) Miller, Emily Miller, Heather (Kraig) Sells, Michael (Kris) Thoe, Aaron (Jessica) Thoe, Rebekah Thoe, Kaitlyn Miller, Anthony Miller, Anna Marie Miller, Nathaniel Miller, Gwenyth (Nolan) Bell, Coleman Ballard, Elizabeth Bongard, and Douglas Bongard. Pauline is further survived by 13 great grandchildren.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, her parents, in-laws Barbara and Stephen Sternik, Katherine Davis, and Alfred Rossi.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 7, 2025 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church – Fancher. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, April 6th at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst with Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at the Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery.
Pauline’s family would like to extend special thanks to Amherst Fire & EMS, Marshfield Hospital River Region, Marshfield Medical Center Weston, and all the genuine individuals who lovingly cared for Pauline. Heartfelt thanks go out to the 2nd floor ICU team at Marshfield Medical Center Weston.
