PERRY W. ABRAHAMSON
WAUPACA, WISCONSIN Age 95, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Bethany Home in Waupaca, WI. He was born October 31, 1915 in the Town of Waupaca, WI; son of Walter and Cora (Danielson) Abrahamson. On September 20, 1940, Perry married Jean Orr in Waupaca. Perry worked for the railroad for 12 years and then ran his own feeder pig business for many years. He was an avid hunter and gardener and enjoyed spending time outdoors. You could always find Perry fishing for walleyes on the elbow of the Wolf River. Perry is survived by:

Daughter: Pat (Eugene) Engebretson of Waupaca, WI
Grandchildren: Julie Giefer of Waupaca, WI
Mike (Amy) Engebretson of Waupaca, WI
Mary DeFrane of Waupaca, WI
Great-Grandchildren: Ryan, Jordan, and Taylor Giefer
Alyssa and Elias Engebretson
Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Cora Abrahamson; an infant daughter, Mary; a brother, Gordon Abrahamson; and five sisters, Fern Orr, Inez Batten, Jean Sigl, Helen Affeldt, and Joyce Pirk. A Funeral Service will be on Friday, September 16, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI. Rev. Paul Bowe and Rev. Loren Fritz will officiate. A visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 – 10:30 AM at the church. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca following the service on Friday.
