Peter Betchner Jr.'s Obituary
Peter P. Betchner, Jr., age 86, of Waupaca, WI , died Monday, June 20th, 2005 at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center, Neenah, WI. Peter was born in Cudahy, Wisconsin on March 31, 1919, the son of the late Peter and Katherine Betchner. On May 20, 1950, Peter married Helma Abler in Milwaukee, WI. He served in the US Army during WW II. Peter was a furniture salesperson in the Milwaukee area for many years retiring to the Waupaca area in 1982. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community, a life member of the VFW and Disabled Veterans. Survivors include his Wife: Helma , Waupaca, WI; his Children: Jacqueline Tall, Lafayette, Colorado; Andrew (Donna) Betchner, Hales Corners, WI; Joseph (Chris) Betchner, Appleton, WI; James (Shelia) Betchner, New London, WI; Priscilla Manteufel, Delwood, WI and Seven Grandchildren. Peter is also survived by other relatives and friends. Peter was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community in Waupaca, at 10:30 AM on Friday, June 24th, with Reverend John Becker officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Town of Farmington, Wisconsin. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the church. Holly Funeral Home, Waupaca, assisted with arrangements.
