Peter P. Popek Jr.'s Obituary
Peter Paul Popek Jr., age 68, of Wild Rose, WI left us to be among the angels on Friday, December 10, 2021 surrounded by family at ThedaCare Medical Center Appleton. He was born April 18, 1953 in Wild Rose, WI. He was the son of Peter Popek Sr. and Harriet (Klehm) Popek. Peter was a lifelong resident of Wild Rose, an avid farmer, and a retiree from the Waupaca Foundry.
Peter’s love for the farm, animals, cutting wood, hunting, fishing, and family were contagious. If you’ve ever had the opportunity to talk with Pete you had a few good laughs and lasting memories.
Pete is survived by his daughters Jennifer (Jake) and Becky, his girlfriend, Darlene Apps, his sisters Florence Farkas and Peggy (Jack) Weyenburg, along with other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, December 18 at Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose, WI from 12-4pm. A celebration of life event will be held at a later date.
