Phillip Petersen's Obituary
Phillip E. Petersen, age 82, of Waupaca, WI, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2006 at Crystal River Nursing & Rehab. Center where he has been a resident. Phil was born in Waupaca, WI on November 27, 1923, the son of the late Irving and Margaret Petersen. He graduated from Waupaca High School in 1942. On April 7, 1945, Phil married Elizabeth S. Lane in Waupaca and she preceded him in death on May 17, 1988. He is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, past member of Wautoma Rotary Club, Past President of Waushara Co. Industries and past member of the Bethany Home Board of Directors. Phil is survived by his children: Jane (Robert) Olson of Buffalo Grove, IL; Carol (Marvin) Eggert of Lanesboro, MN and David Petersen of Green Bay, WI; Four grandchildren: Kristin Elerding and Amy Olson & Michael and Susan Eggert, three great grandchildren, a sister: Elaine McCrossen of Sterling, IL Sister-in-law: Gladys Petersen of Waupaca, WI, Brother-in-law: Howell Lane of Appleton, WI. Phil is also survived by nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth and two brothers, Harry & Irving Jr. Funeral Service will be at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca at 3 PM on Wednesday, Sept. 13, with Reverend Jennifer DeNetz, officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Caersalem Cemetery in the Town of Springwater, Waushara Co. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca.
