PHYLLIS “TOOT” JOAN BARTKOWIAK
BANCROFT, WISCONSIN Age 73 passed away on Saturday night, March 22, 2008 in the palliative care unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, WI. She was born January 9, 1935 in the Town of Stone Lake, Washburn Co., WI; daughter of Leonard “Peck” and Gertrude (Wiora) Morgan. Phyllis was raised in the Almond area and graduated from Almond High School in 1953. She then worked at Zwiker’s in Waupaca until she married Donald Bartkowiak on November 15, 1958 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in the Town of Lanark. She then became a stay at home mother. Phyllis loved her children and had many hobbies which included eleven grandchildren, which she adored; bird watching; gardening; and listening and dancing to polka music. She was an active member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church. Phyllis will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. Phyllis is survived by:

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 8611 State Hwy 54, between Waupaca and Plover. Father Daniel Farley will preside. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Lanark in the spring. A memorial has been established in the name of Phyllis J. Bartkowiak. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements. JUNGERS-HOLLY FUNERAL HOME
