Phyllis A. McCardell's Obituary
Phyllis A. McCardell, age 90 of Waupaca, formerly of Wild Rose went to see her Lord on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at ThedaCare Medical Center in Waupaca, WI. She was born on March 26, 1930 in Chicago, IL, daughter of Philip and Genevieve (Syzdek) Frey.
On November 21, 1953, she married Edward McCardell in Chicago, IL.
Phyllis was a devout Catholic, but what was most precious to her, besides her husband, was providing love and support to her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Mae (Thomas) Lauritzen, Maureen (Quintin) Pettingill, Marianne DeMeuse and Julie (Brent) Kubik; sons, Michael (Amy) McCardell, Matthew McCardell, Martin McCardell, Edward (Tammie) McCardell and Sean (Shawn) McCardell; grandchildren, Lisa Lamb, Kelly Lauritzen, Emily Pittsley, Molly Post, Laura Erbrecht, Jill White, Katherine Steuters, Charlie Kubik, Jennifer, Ryan, Madison, Sean, Kegan, Jack, Colin, Dylan, Patrick, Edward Jr., Abigail and Lucy McCardell; thirteen great grandchildren; sisters, Louise Sutton and Mildred Cheval; and sisters-in-law, Dolores McCardell and Carolyn Lambert. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward, son Mark McCardell, son-in-law Donald DeMeuse, and sister Alice Bartello.
A private family Mass was held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma, WI. Burial took place in Calvary Cemetery in Wautoma, WI.
